Ethan has officially graduated with a philosophy degree from the University of Oregon! We threw two graduation parties for him, then packed our bags and headed to Hawaii for a week's vacation in the sand! Our friends Ryan and Hayley live in Honolulu and let us crash at their place while visiting the island. We had so many great adventures! One day we spent at Hanauma Bay, snorkeling and swimming with a sea turtle. A few days later we went scuba diving and saw a HUGE turtle and a 6' long white tip reef shark. The shark was about 15 feet away from us, swimming and diving underneath a shelf of coral. It was more scared of us that we were of him! We also drove up to the North Shore and spent the evening on the beach, watching the sunset and playing in the waves. Our last morning on the island we woke up at 3am and drove across the island to watch the sunrise. It was beautiful! What an incredible trip - we're already thinking about where we want to go next!
